The event emphasized the importance of the second annual “Cansat Azerbaijan” project and highlighted the rising interest of the youth towards the space technologies industry.

Later followed the awarding ceremony of the most successful teams of the final stage – the winner of the first place “CanADA” team from ADA University, the winner of the second place “Can of Duty” team from Baku Higher Oil School, and the winner of the third place “Caucasus_Sat” from Baku Engineering University. Finally, the start of the “CanSat Azerbaijan 2020” competition was announced at the end of the event.

These kinds of projects are planned to take place on a continuous basis in order to develop new generation who will make great contributions to Azerbaijan’s Space Programme. It creates an opportunity for our country to host similar events on a regional level. Consequently, this will have a positive impact on the reputation of the Azerbaijan space industry at the international level.
