The Intersputnik delegation met with Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and the senior executives of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). During the visit, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to long-term cooperation and outlined new areas of interaction.

The focus was on the international legal protection of satellite networks in the International Telecommunication Union and the possible role of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Viet Nam as a notifying Telecommunications Administration representing all Intersputnik member states. The parties have identified three primary areas of collaboration: commercial projects, cultural exchange, and educational programmes. They have reached an agreement to address humanitarian issues through close collaboration with specialised international institutions.

Director General of Intersputnik Ksenia Drozdova and Director of VNPT-International (part of VNPT, the state-owned telecommunications operator) Mr. Lam Quoc Cuong, have reiterated their dedication to the global UN Sustainable Development Goals for the collective benefit of all Intersputnik member states. They have also expressed keen interest in joining relevant projects aligned with these goals.

"We are most grateful to the leadership of the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications and the senior executives of VNPT for the warm welcome extended to the delegation from Intersputnik Directorate. Our collaborative initiatives are geared towards enhancing the quality of industry education for young individuals through Intersputnik's Digital Youth Far Beyond Borders project launched in 2022. This project enables young professionals from the member states to communicate their perspectives to the global community at major international industry platforms," stated Ksenia Drozdova, Director General of Intersputnik.

"By engaging in a constructive and meaningful dialogue with the VNPT employees, Intersputnik signatory from Viet Nam, we have been able to delineate a specific mutually beneficial programme of actions, leveraging both the space and ground segments of the Vietnamese operator."
